With a commitment to nurturing the potential of youth, promoting healthy living ad fostering a sense of social responsibility, the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive. 

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied access to the Y, regardless of their ability to pay for services.  Through our Changing Lives Financial Assistance Program, the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley provides assistance to youth, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances. 

COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY

Determining assistance amounts is handled by YMCA branches in a fair and consistent manner.  Every YMCA member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive financial assistance.  YMCA members can feel confident knowing that they are part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people, and is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. 

CHANGING LIVES CAMPAIGN  

When you look into the eyes of a child having recently completed their first swimming lesson, or day at summer camp, you realize the joy, appreciation and thankfulness.  We know that children enrolled in programs, especially YMCA programs, tend to stay out of trouble, become engaged in positive behavior, and go on to be productive members of the communities we

 serve.

We’ve seen it first hand, time and time again. A desperate parent comes to our front desk.  They are at their wit’s end. They are working multiple jobs, trying to make ends meet and cannot be home when their child gets out of school.

      The Y provides financial assistance to hundreds of families in Oneida, Rome, New Hartford and the surrounding areas.

      The Y is considered a necessity to the families who utilize our services on a regular basis programs.

     The Y never turns anyone away based on their inability to pay.

Friends of the Y, community members, businesses and foundations understand the value of programming for children and families to build healthier lives.  Contributions are made to the Changing Lives Campaign to continue the YMCA mission.  Contributions are made directly to the YMCA, through Changing Lives Annual Events and Fundraisers.
