You can save time while signing up or making changes to your account by downloading and printing our membership forms from home so they are ready to go when you get to the Y! All memberships require a signed membership application on file, even if you sign up online. Please be prepared to either bring these documents in with you completed or to complete them on your first visit. We currently do not offer Youth Membership sales online. To sign-up for a youth membership, please visit your local YMCA Branch or call for more information! Any member under the age of 18 must have an adult as the primary member on a membership account who is responsible for payment.

A guest pass may be purchased with a valid photo ID to use the YMCA facility for one day. Spaces for classes and fitness areas are reserved for members before guest pass users. All guests must follow facility policies and screening procedures. Access to Child Watch is not included in the use of a guest pass.

Many insurance companies offer a wellness benefit that can be used towards your annual membership fees. We currently accept insurance coverage under for SilverSneakers®, Silver & Fit®, Renew Active®, and Active & Fit®. Simply bring in your insurance company-provided fitness number, insurance card, and photo ID and we will provide you with a membership at NO COST TO YOU! For more information, please contact your health insurance provider. If you need help, just ask one of our Welcome Center Receptionists and we will assist you with the process! Other insurance plans may cover Wellness Benefits with the member on a reimbursement basis. Each company and policy is unique, your insurance company is the best resource for information on your specific policy benefits.

The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley does not issue credits or refunds except under the following conditions: 1. A program is cancelled by the YMCA 2. A payment error is made by the YMCA 3. A written medical excuse from your health care provider with dates of absence is submitted to the Front Desk. All requests must be made within 60 days of your payment. No credits or refunds will be honored after 60 days.

The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is a membership-driven organization, open to all people. Through the generosity of donors and special events, we are able to provide programs and services to those who may not otherwise be able to participate. The Changing Lives Financial Assistance Program, to the extent possible, is available to those in need. If you cannot afford the full cost of YMCA programs or membership, you may apply for financial assistance. All YMCA members receive the same membership and program benefits, regardless of assistance. Assistance is based on a sliding scale of income. Proof of income through a formal application process is required. Please see our financial assistance webpage or speak to a Welcome Center Representative for more information.

There is a one-time, non-refundable fee, often referred to as the Capital Improvement Fee, or Joining Fee. This is charged to all adult, senior and family membership categories. This fee is used to maintain the capital improvement fund, which updates the facilities and remedies maintenance issues. Any member who allows their membership to lapse for 30 days is considered a new member upon re-joining and will be required to pay a new fee.

For visitors from YMCA's participating in the Nationwide Membership Program, we will grant access at no cost to the member for a period of less than 28 days. Visitors must leave a valid photo ID along with checking in with the Nationwide Membership Database.

Snow/SunBird Memberships are available for seniors ages 62+. These are 6 month memberships that can be taken out at any time. The cost is $226 plus a one-time $40 joining fee. If you return and rejoin within 6 months, you will not be charged a joining fee upon return. If your membership lapses more than 6 months, you will be responsible for joining as a new member.

Program Memberships are for those that are looking for little commitment, or are looking to try the Y before fully joining. For $60, an adult may take all of the classes they would like in one month, along with all of the other facility benefits members can enjoy. There are no limits to the number of Program Memberships a person may take and may be taken out at any time.

A four week trial membership offers families full membership privileges for $75. Membership conversion is available at the end of the trial period. The Joining Fee will be waived for families who join at the end! Trial Memberships must be paid in full at the time of joining.

Annual membership dues can be paid by cash, check, all major credit cards, or by YMCA gift certificates. Bank draft payments deducted from a checking account, savings account, or credit card are withdrawn on the 3rd or the 18th of each month. The YMCA reserves the right to assess a service charge for all returned or declined payments for membership and programs. Members who wish to terminate or change their membership status must submit a written notice to the Welcome Center Receptionist in order to do so. The termination will not take effect for 30 days. Any draft scheduled to take place within the 30 days will continue to be drafted.

There will be no admittance without a valid membership card. In the event that you lose your card, there is a $5 charge for a new card. There is the option of using our mobile app to check-in with your membership card at no charge.
